For over 30 years the UW Badminton Club has provided organized badminton play, camaraderie, coaching, and tournaments to University students, faculty and staff. Club members practice at various times in the UW Natatorium (the "Nat"), which has as many as 12 high-quality badminton courts available. The primary focus of the Club is to enable competition: we provide high grade shuttlecocks at a reduced cost, host one of the best tournaments in the midwest and encourge competition play by way of travel reimbursements. To join the Club... 1) Register online at our registered student organization web site. 2) Electronically submit a consent form. 3) Submit the membership form and your Club dues to a Club Officer.
"The game of badminton is deceptive. The basic techniques are easy to learn and the equipment is easy to handle, providing immediate enjoyment. As experience is gained, however, badminton becomes a mentally and physically stimulating sport where dexterity, agility and stamina are much more important than size and power. Badminton can be intensely competitive, or simply a vigorous lifetime sport." Paul Malischke
